I like the attention to detail in this episode, like they even showed the movie projecting from the one of the windows on the top and not the bottom window where he died in front of.

Hibari screen time in this show has always been great ever since her introduction

they're sitting there watching Gomera movies... and NONE of them mention they've been on one of the movies' sets, saved the franchise from being killed off, met the actress who plays the fairy in this movie (if you look her up, this episode's art department re-did her quite well in costume!), met the creator of the Gomera franchise, met the 'guy in the suit'... none of that. Haibara is new to their 'club'... i bet the two boys would LOVE to brag to her about that case!

i really wish whomever had fansubbed these eps back in the day got their raws at a higher DPI. after the Funimation dubs finished i came here to the subs to keep going with Conan. but the DRASTIC drop in DPI between TV broadcast quality and DVD quality from Funi's dub is terrible! in the previous two episodes inside the castle's secret passages MANY scenes are almost entirely black and pixelated so you can't even see what's going on!

Fair enough

This is a fantastic episode starting from the dialogue to the animation down to the smallest details. The way it was all laid down was really immersive and even though there were a lot of information to absorb, the flow in which they appear can give you a clear view of everything that has transpired. The episode even ended with such tension and suspense and anticipation which made it a great cliffhanger making you excited to see the next episode. Definitely one of the best episode of this series.
